Holla Wanderers! It has been quite a long time since our last post and we were missing you all so much. Lot of things has been happening lately and the ones who are connected to us with Snap chat and Instagram know how interesting things had been happening around. So now, this is our very first travel blog and we open this space with an amazing two day tour to Pune, we have kept you all updated on Snap chat but let's redo the journey here with more details. Come on then, get, set, goo!

Pune is not at all far from Mumbai and hence there are several ways to travel to Pune and out of all we choose train because they are fun, I mean, you really get to listen to all the drama happening in it and they are fun if you like observing people. If you want to reach quick and in a personal space, driving down to Pune is not at all hectic and you also get bus or taxis till there and remember you can always fly.

After seeing the view in the pictures above we are really pleased to say we took a train, It was Indrayani express which leaves Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus at 5:40am and reaches by 10:00am.

We took a rickshaw from station to "Star Residency", the hotel we were staying in. It is in Mundwa and it is a three star hotel and trust us on this, it is peaceful, it has clean, well equipped and beautiful rooms and ultimate peace. We checked in, got ready for the day, packed our summer essentials i.e. sunglasses, sunscreen cream, scarf, wet wipes and off-course a rubber band to tie our hair up when needed.

On the first day our monger Radhika was wearing this beautiful one-piece from a local shop, Thane paired up with the happy feet's chunk heels and Esbeda's bag and to save her eyes from sun, she carried her regular shade which are from Colaba.

On the first day our monger Vaidehi was wearing this white dress with a beautiful blue embroidery design from Dimple Parekh and Shaili Vora's collection, paired with black flats from Colaba, sling from Max. Even she had to save herself from the sun,so even she carried her regular shades from Colaba.

After dressing up and setting out to roam the peshwa city, we realized how hungry we are and that's when we bumped in this amazing place known as "Cafe Goodluck" the most unique thing here was the Air conditioning technique. They don't have the typical ACs but little pipes spraying cool air sprinkles sometimes water drops and it is so good to sit and eat here.

What we ate? Our mongers can rarely skip non veg and it was anyway lunchtime by then, so we ate chicken tandoori, masala papad, veg biryani, crispy paneer and chicken chrispy. The food was mouthwatering but if you don't like tough chicken avoid the chicken crispy here and surely try the crispy paneer for it is really tasty

Our next stop was Ferguson College road widely known as FC road which is famous for it's street shopping. It is similar to our Link road and Causeway but has a different collection so it was a fun to go through all the shops and spend some money there.

The place where we next stopped was the very famous "Shanivar wada" the then residence of The Peshwas. It is a gigantic portion of land and is really beautiful. They have facts and information carved on stones and one such piece of earth read that, "This place was named as "The Shanivar wada" because it was inaugurated on Saturday; this was new and really interesting thing to know. It was hot in the scorching heat but the place is quiet airy and green. You will find lot of photographers capturing the scenic beauty in and around Shanivaar wada in their third eye.

After seeing this glorious historic place we went for a quite garden which was close to Shanivar wada which is known as 'Joshikaka" for an unknown reason and we found it peacefully and shady.

According to Vaidehi, the best thing happened to Pune is "Rohit-Coffee corner" and after this visit even Radhika agrees on this. It is by far the best place to have a class of thick chocolate and cold coffee and both of this drinks here are just too amazing and probably the cheapest (20 rs ) and so its hard to stop having few more glasses of it. It is in the very famous Sadashiv peth of Pune and is a perfect hit in summer.

Mumbai or Pune Starbucks is an addiction and we couldn't resist the urge to have a quick bite of this yummy cherry cheese cake and discuss our further plans over a sip of coffee. We headed back to our hotel to change into our party dresses for we decided to explore the clubbing options here.

The area around this Starbucks or even the interiors and exteriors of the cafe itself our very picturesque and you will find baby elephant shaped tables and chairs and some good wall art.

If you are a pure vegetarian, then this place is heaven for you and even non-vegetarians won't mind to change their taste for a day here. This "Yashwant" Restaurant is in Mundwa and it is just 4 years old but has a variety of taste and flavors mixed up with traditional food techniques. We had our dinner here and the dishes we chose were paneer rajwadi, masala papad, paneer satye and of-course Yashwant's special ice-cream bowl for dessert.

This was one hell of a night at the "Anonymous" club in Pune which had a great ambiance, open roof dance floor with amazing music choice and reasonable rates. We were surprised to see that the Pune nightlife is as lively as Mumbai and it is fun out there and cold too. We went back to our hotel room around 3am and we were full for the day. The first and last thing we wanted to do then is to change into our pajamas and doze off!

Day 2:-

We woke up to a ray of sunlight shinning from the gap in the balcony curtains and a copy of The Times of India newspaper. Star residency gives free breakfast and we were hungry after a hipster clubbing night so we hopped down to the breakfast area in our pajamas and ate some good amount of cornflakes, and watermelon juice. They also had boiled veggies and boiled eggs and not to mention bread-butter, coffee and tea. Once our stomachs were full enough to start the day, we went on and changed into our outfits of the day.

For day 2 our monger Radhika settled on this very casual pink t-shirt from causeway paired with Denim shorts from a local shop and shoes which she took on FC road the other day. She believes that every vacation is incomplete without a pair of shorts and plain t-shirt.

Day 2 had to be a dream catcher day for our monger Vaidehi who choose white tube top from New lady on white Max jeans paired with her overcoat from Singapore and shoes from Bata and completed by the Dream catcher neckpiece from Invincible dreamer.

Though we had a good breakfast we were still hungry and hence we headed to one of the most famous bakeries in Pune i.e. the "German Bakery", which is situated at Koregoan park. If you ask our mongers what did you like about this place, Radhika says that it is the decor and the ambiance not to mention the bill box; whereas Vaidehi likes the painting on Owls on the wall (You should understand the HP fandom) and the sitting arrangement. In short we loved the place and the food is tasty. We had barbeque paneer pizza, Special creamed chicken rice and four cheese rissotto. To the ones who are not a fan of Risotto’s and cheese should avoid the 4 cheese risotto for it is liked by very few.

After we were full with food, we went to a place known as the Aagakhan palace which is where Gandhiji resided during his Pune visits and this place has a lot of historical importance and it is one of those beautifully crafted British places.

The sun had start to calm down when we left for War memorial, this is one of those places which kindle the patriotism in you and it has a beautiful craved row of stones and has a human made scenic beauty.

So post all our wandering we were hungry again and we ended up at 'The Burger Barn Cafe' which actually feels like home due to the ambiance and the vintage look inside and you also have a gigantic burger here which if you finish in a certain period of time your pictures goes up on the Hoggers wall.

By the time we left Burger Barn it was evening and Mumbai was calling us back, so we took our bags and we hired a car to Mumbai and reached home by 10pm.

This was all about our tour and wanderings of "The Peshwa City" and we would surely be visiting it again and you too go on and let us know if you like the place and keep hashtagging by #Thestylemongers #BEABetterYou #BeASassierYou #ThePeshwaCity #PuneDiaries and ping us on our Instagram and Email Id's for suggestions, requests or a quick chat.
